The red rocks are beautiful, the shopping is plentiful, sunsets are often spectacular, and there are many art galleries to  visit.  However, most people seem to visit the area for its energetic qualities.  If you are among them, here are some suggestions for improving your visit:

1.  Check out the safety and health tips before you go hiking in the vortex areas.  (Call or email if you would like a personalized guide.) There is also a local meetup group which may have a hike scheduled during your visit, if you would like to join a group.

2.  Take an audio recording with you....guided relaxation, past life regression, etc.  The effects of the recording will be emphasized by the vortex energies.

3.  Discover the myriad of amazing workshops that are offered while you are here.  (In addition to those listed on this site, check out the free local publication "Kudos" for daily and weekly events and announcements.)

4.  Check out the yoga kirtan on Thursday and Sunday nights at the Plaza Kailasa on Mountain View.  This is a free event (donations are accepted).

5.  Check out the Body, Mind, and Spirit Meetup group for local events http://www.meetup.com/Sedona-Body-Mind-Spirit/

6.  Consider a personalized or group qigong session in the vortex areas.  (Reiki, Medicine Buddha, and other types of alternative healing sessions are also available in the vortex areas.)  The vortex areas amplify the chi/qi/ki energy.
